AIX CLOSE_WAIT

I am using WebLogic 5.1 and it is running under IBM AIX 4.3.3. Suddenly I am getting lots of close_wait status. At present to fix that I am restarting the weblogic instance.

What could be the reasons for the close_wait status?

Any help ???

From the man page:

CLOSE_WAIT
The remote end has shut down, waiting for the socket to close.
