aix certification

i currently an aix 4.3.3 sys admin.

i am trying to make up my mind to complete 4.3.3 CATE or commence 5.1 certification.

When will AIX 5L certification commence??.

rumor has it that there will be some 5L stuff which will be included in the new test 199 aix support test..(out in August)... And the new CATE tests will also have some 5L stuff....but also 4.3 stuff..... The new tests for support should be out in August I think and the new CATE probably OCT.....

Will there be a pure 5L test? I doubt it for now...My guess is in a couple more
years for a pure 5L test..........if then

Don't quote me on this....since I am a lowly nobody on this........

My guess is that the New Redbooks would probably be out in October....... for the System Support and System Admin stuff.......maybe November....

The CATE books were updated December 2000...
My guess is that they will be working on the new tests for CATE end of this year...
with....the books and stuff for them will probably not be out until next year...

The AIX 5L differences guide is out now and maybe can assist you on some topics..
