I have an old 43p-7248 on which I have AIX 4.3.2 and Catia 4.2.1R1. I have created Catia solid model files which
I cannot extract to show to anyone who does not have similar
hardware/software. I have found that a local ethernet link
using an AMD 2gig pc with Windows 98se will finally allow me to "FTP" files in IGIS format to the PC. I don't know how to send the files (format? ascii, binary,?), and what
file format do I use in the, and what file extension???
.txt, .stl, ? Can anybody help me so I can record a zip, cd, or dvd tkasmer 607-7275709

You should FTP the files in ascii mode, and name the files *.igs that way if someone else goes to import then into another cadd software the iges convertor will recognise then nameing convention..
Hope this helps.
