Does anyone know of an IBM Blade that can run both windows and AIX? I know the JS20 runs AIX and the HS20 runs windows, but for some reason, I remember someone at PSeries TechU saying IBM sold blades that could run either OS.

I couldn't find it when I was searching online.

hello,

intel-based blades run linux or windows; powerpc blades run Linux (ppc edition !!) or AIX (5.3 and - it's more a guess than a fact - AIX 5.2 ML4).

Thus you can not have a system which could run Windows or AIX - check the processor type !

However, in the BladeCenter (a 7-U component into which you plug the blades) , you can mix intel blades with powperpc blades.

hope this helps,
