AIX backup

Is there a possible way to backup an AIX box completely. Then restore it to a virtual machine that is running in a windows environment (VMware Server).

Yes you can backup your aix box using two commands:

mksysb (For your rootvg)
savevg (For other vgs)

IMHO You can't run AIX on a windows machine.

VMWare to the best of my knowledge can't (yet?) host AIX partititions...

The problem is that AIX will only run on certain IBM hardware and processors. So far the only laptops which worked were from way back and for IBM personel only.
