Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to change the default behavior of automounter (automountd) to use TCP instead of UDP. I've checked the /etc/rc.nfs script and other resources but I am not having much luck. I need this information for AIX 4.3.3, 5.1 and 5.2. Does the OS need to be a certain oslevel -r? Does the OS need to be a certain level of bos.net.nfs.client? I've checked several systems on each of the versions of AIX listed and some are defaulting to udp and others to tcp.

The reason I would like to change this default behavior is to allow for increased stability when working across a WAN.

Thanks much!

All,

I found out that I need to use /usr/sbin/automountd instead of /usr/sbin/compat_automount. Problem resolved.

Thanks
