AIX & Windows Domain Account Password Synche?

Anyone doing anything (affordable) to keep windows user passwords in synche with AIX accounts? I have read up on the 'AIX Fast Connect' but its not really a good fit and the password synch stuff does not appear to even work for WinXP/2000. Plus, I want users to authenticate to my windows domain (and Active Directory eventually) to get their AIX access and not use the AIX server as the authentication host.

Actually, I'm a little lost in the Fast Connect documentation and suspect it was written by someone who never had to do practical things with the software.
