AIX 5.2 on 43P-260 1

I just bought an 43P and installed 5.2 on it. It went well but I can't login. When I type in the user name and press enter it clears the screen and gives me a new login prompt.
Any ideas?

I can access the system if I boot from the CD but everything looks normal.
I also can't configure the built-in ethernet adapter. Anything I try fails miserable.

Has anyone got AIX 5.2 to run on these systems? Is there something I'm missing?

Tried 5.2 on a 43P-133, no luck, reverted to 5.1 instead.

The logging issue you have should be simple to fix, you need to add "clocal" to the "STTY attributes for RUN time" and " STTY attributes for RUN time" fields of your TTY characteristics.

As for the NIC, sorry cannot help you there. Suggest searching IBM software for drivers.
