IS-IT--Management
Newbie here,
I have one AIX 5.2 server with 2 NICs.
I want to set up two WAN connections NAT'd internally so that my AIX will probably end up with 2 default gateways.
I want to basically set up a 2 way in and out choice to my AIX from outside the 2 firewalls I have.
Can this be done without confusing the AIX?
the aim is redundancy, so that if one ISP goes down, the remote users can switch to the other inbound IP and still access the server.
I am aware that I would need to set up two different network IPs for each NIC, but my question is mostly related to the Default "gateway" in netstat -rn that I see.
Any help is extremely appreciated!
