aix 5.2 cdrom problems

Fresh install and I went ahead and installed all the security stuff from the beginning in case I needed it later.

I am not able to mount my cdrom /cdrom.

And, when I try to Configure a Defined CD ROM Drive, I get:

Method error (/usr/lib/methods/cfgidecdrom):
0514-068 Cause not known.
sh: /usr/lib/methods/cfgidecdrom: 0403-006 Execute permission denied.

Is this part of the new security stuff working here? How can I "get around" this?

Also like to add that lsdev shows device only has Defined, not available.

I found the problem. /usr/lib/methods/cfgidecdrom was "turned off". Permissions were all -------. So I changed to 500 and it seems to be working now.
