AIX 5.2 CDE problem

hi,

Being in AIX CDE 1.0 session (via exceed), everytime when I open a big text file (ca. 3MB )in dtpad and "select all", the exeed session crashes. But when I select whole this text in the editor manually then no crash happens.

When I start exceed session to CDE on HP-UX 11i the problem with "select all" doesn't exit. I found that the only difference id CDE version - on HP-UX there is CDE 2.1.0.

On AIX CDE 1.0 problem doesn't exist when I open CitriX CDE session.

Maybe someone of you can test it on your own AIX CDE (using exceed) environment and let me know results.

Can anyone answer me if there is a CDE 2.1.0 for AIX for download on IBM site?

(problem exist on AIX 4.3-11 and 5200-03)

I use X-Thin-Pro and cannot replicate this but CDE running on a graphics console can produce strange effects if you don't have large enough / and /tmp filesystems such as being unable to open multiple windows.

Also check the space left on your /var filesystem.
