I've installed AIX 5L v5.1. Client mode for AIX and Windows are working fine. When I try to access the WebSM from a browser (IE 6.0), I succeed with the login interface, and I receive the "login successful" message. The main interface loads, but if I click an icon to expand its options, lots of warning windows appear with a Java "ClassDefNotFound" error. My workstation has Windows 2000, SP3, and JDK 1.4. I've checked the contents of the jar files (located in /usr/websm/codebase) and the mentioned classes exist. Any idea of what could be wrong?

AIX 5.1 WebSM applet mode not working

I posted this ticket and I found my problem. I writing down the solution just in case someone else comes to the same problem. I had installed JDK 1.4 on my PC, a newer version than the specified for the WebSM applet. After removing it from my PC, the wsm.html file I loaded from my RS/6000 server started downloading JDK 1.3.1. After that everything ran smooth.
