AIX 5.1 and Oracle 8 and 8i 1

Does anyone know if Oracle 8.0.5 or 8.1.6 or 8.1.7 run on AIX 5.1?

That is a good question...
I cannot imagine Oracle not hopping on the bandwagon...

However if you go to the IBM site where it mentions ISV's have have gotten on the Bandwagon for 5L....


oracle is not one of them. Progress is............Sybase is...curious.

As you suggested, I contacted Oracle. They told me they "think" 5.1 will be certified with Oracle 9i, not 8 or 8i.
