If anyone can help with the followin:

1.) Is there a limit to the number of groups supported on AIX 4.3.3 ?
2.) Is there a limit to the number of secondary groups a particular user can have on AIX 4.3.3.?

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Beyonder,

I would like to talk to you about the SeeBeyond Project I have for 9 months in Bartellsville, OK. I need a team of 6 SeeBeyond people.

Thanks

jon,

a user can have up to 32 groups. I don't know if there is a limit on the number of groups that can be on a system. You can take a look at the RedBook AIX 4.3 Elements of Security for more info. Go to and search for AIX +security.

Jon

The AIX4.3 users can be a member of 32groups but they can have only one primary group at a time.
