If you upgraded from install media, you may or maynot be at the latest...
Sometimes there is an additional update CD that comes with the install media
for 4.33
You would then repeat the above process with the update CD in the drive and
do a smitty update_all as well
You can tell where you are by the instfix -i | grep ML command
The output should look something like this:
Not all filesets for 4330-06_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4330-07_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4330-08_AIX_ML were found.
All filesets for 4330-09_AIX_ML were found.
Where ever there is not all filesets found, you are missing some update or have an obsolete one... and whatever the latest version of "all filesets were found" is will be the level you are at.... there is oslevel -r but this will tell you if all filesets for all levels is installed.
Also if you get a not all filesets like above...you would do the following
# instfix -ivk 4330-06_AIX_ML|grep not | grep ':'
(changing the 4330-06_AIX_ML with the version that was not found on your system)
Then you need to go to the web and update that fileset...or if it is obsolete delete it...etc.....
