1) Check the /etc/inittab for the
init:x:initdefault line, where x stands for the default runlevel, in most cases 2
2) Look for a line like:
app:2nce:/etc/rc.app, where 2 is again the runlevel, where this rc-file is started. If you wish to be executed on other runlevels too, you can add it like
app:123456nce:/etc/rc.app
