AIX 4.2 virus scan

I have been tasked with finding out what virus scans if any are in place on our RISC 6000 using AIX 4.2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I am aware of the virscan command, but how is this updated with the current viruses?<br>Is it effective?&nbsp;&nbsp;Is there a virus scan we can load?&nbsp;&nbsp;I have searched several websites and was surprised at how little information is available concerning this.&nbsp;&nbsp;Any information would be greatly appreciated.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br>

virscan is simply the old IBM AntiVirus. It only search for DOS/Windows viruses in the files in the AIX system. Try getting new signatures and updating that.

PS: The IBM AntiVirus was sold to Symantec.
