AIX 3.25 problem with telnet sessions taking 15 min to log in. The HTTPD is working fine and connects very fast. System has been rebooted twice. TELNETD is loaded and seems to be working fine. CPU is not overloaded...and help???

How many users have registered/created on your machine? Hundreds? Thousands?<br><br>May be is your /etc/passwd /etc/security/user /etc/security/passwd are too big!

HI<br>Check your DNS settings esp your NSORDER variable setting,/etc/netsvc.conf&nbsp;&nbsp;& /etc/inetd.conf files.<br>Also check /etc/services file to see whether telnet is using correct(default)<br>port.<br><br>regds<br>Shiraz
