ait-format is unknown?

Hi!

My Illustrator won't open any ait (Adobe Illustrator Template) files, I get this message: "The file ***.ait is an unknown format and cannot be opened."
And then is annoying "OK" buttom, there should be a "Do I have a choice"-buttom or something!

Is there anyone who knows what to do?

Could they be from a newer version of Illustrator than what you have, or does it do this with .ait files you've created and saved?

They're from the same installation

On File menu try New From Template and select the .ait doc.

On OSX, right click or control click on the .ait document's icon and go to Open With. See if Illustrator shows as the default. If not select Illustrator. You might go to the Get Info on the .ait document and see if Ill is selected. Make sure that Ill is selected for all .ait type docs.

I found it. The files were 0kb big, I reinstalled the program and that solved the problem.
