AIPTEK-PocketDV 3100 digi cam and CD-RW Drive(D:)

The problem I am having is when I try to install the program needed to run the digi cam all it does is spin around and make noise in my drive.I have installed my printer's program perfectly fine,listened to music cd's...ect but when it comes to the digi cam's cd it just spin's around,slows my computer up and seems like its reading it when its actually not because the programs pop-up screen never appears.I have also tried to install the program the other way(run) but that didn't help at all.
I have used my digi before with no problems at all.

Im running windows xp home edition,on a dell demintion

Its my printer conflicting with the install of my digi cam?

Is the disk scratch to bad for it to read?(no damage that I can see)

Is my computer just not reaconizing the drive(D:,E?

Do I need to update my drivers?(windows update says there is no updates avalible)

just copy the contents of the cd on harddrive and install from there.
if copy fails get a replacement cd.

And how do I copy the contents of the cd on my harddrive and install ?

disable autostart for the drive, if its then still not detected by explorer check cd in another drive (friends/work).
and if its not working there get a replacement ;-)
