I am getting a Task Failed code 1385 when trying to e-mail reports. Anyone know what this code is?

If your reports are not being sent by the e-mail feature in AIMWorX, it may be that the report engine is taking too long to connect to the e-mail server (typically a Microsoft Exchange Server). This causes the report engine to timeout. To lengthen the timeout period, create a registry entry following the steps below.

To lengthen the report engine timeout:

1. Back up your registry before making changes to it.
2. Open your Registry and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ NEC America \ AIMWorX \ Common.
3. From the menu, select Edit/New/String Value.
4. Name the new value MailTimeout.
5. Double-click the new entry and give it a Value data of 10. This is in seconds. Click OK.
6. Close the registry, restart the computer, and test the report e-mail feature.

7. If it still times out, increase the value of MailTimeout until it doesn’t.

Note: Without this registry entry, the report engine timeout is 5 seconds.

Another cause of failing e-mail:

Note that AIMWorX e-mail is SMTP only. It will not work if your e-mail server is set up to require authentication.

There are two work arounds for this problem.

Send AIMWorX e-mails to an outside SMTP address. Emails coming in from the internet do not need authentication.
Use a freeware email server as an e-mail forwarder.

I did check out the manuals and did what you mention with the registry. I set the entry to 30.

Oddly enough, I can manually send reports and my test e-mail works with no problems.

I am checking with my network folks to see about the SMTP issue.

Thanks!

Found the issue....Windows user settings for the Aimworx local machine were somehow deleted / missing. It is working now.
