I have AimWorx 4.5 that has been in service for several years on 4 NEC switches (2each 2400 IPX and 2each 2000 IPS) all set to send their SMDR to one of the 2400s (over CCIS), then on to AimWorx. My question: AimWorx needs to "learn" the extension numbers that have been added to the various PBXes over the last few years so I can run a report on one of the newer numbers. How do I make AimWorx relearn the stations???? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I do not believe that Aimworx learned extensions. If I remember correctly they had to be input into the database.

hmmmm..... I know that AimWorx was touted as an SPE (single point of entry) for programming phones voicemail etc. ..... My boss (5 years ago) used it to program about 6 phones on a remote switch that was tied to it..... it took him about 10 minutes...real slick (well not really!!) it took me about an hour and a half (using mat to fix all the other extensions in the switch that got really messed up!!! that was the last time we ever used AimWorx for any thing except to collect SMDR!!!!

Ankles,

Go to the Users tab and at the bottom left you will see a + sign. Click on that and you are in business. There are some commands that need to be done on the PBX side to send all inbound and outbound SMDR to AimWorx, but I am guessing that is done already. Can you see the call records in the AimWorx and it says "missing user"?

keypad,

Thanks for the tip about the + at the lower left!!! I thought that there was an easier way than to add 5 years worth of new "adds" one at a time ...... Oh well.... NEC (Never Ever ???)

When I watch the collector SMDR tab (I think it was) I do see an occasional "unknown switch" go by along with either an extension number from various switches or a route and trunk number. Probably over 120 extensions added in the last 5 years!!!

I was looking for a place to put in a numbering plan, or numbering plan per switch but I could not find anything, then my phone rang and that was it for pbx stuff for today..... on to put out some other fire!!!!!

If you can think of anything else please let me know!!!!
