I've got an Option61 and Two Option 11's. I'm attempting to set up a PM schedule that includes a daily review of the log files daily for any problems. I've found some great old posts on this site (Very good ones from bigindian65) that have been beneficial. I do have some questions:
1) Will the LD 22 logs show things that are in a degraded state, or only when it's failed?
2) Will the LD 22 logs identify the actual device (or software bug), or does that require some detective work?
3) Will the logs show any circuit outages (i.e. - The phone companies lines were down)?
4) What is the best way (or is there a way) to clear the LD 22 log?
5) One day, I would like to have these systems send ME alerts instead of checking them manually. We have OTM 2.1, but it is a pile that I can't seem to get to do what I want. Are there any freeware tools out there for Nortel that check logs, send e-mails or pages, and check trunk volume info? What about an auto-FTP backup?
