I have a soyo board with 1 AGP port. Should it not show up in Device Manager, System Device? I insalled a new RADEON 7000 card in W2K and new hardware isn't detected. The video manual said non Intel board needs a Virtual GART (AGP)driver. I can't find any GART driver at Soyo site. I was using the on board Intel video, so I uninstalled it.

The AGP will not appear in Device Manager, but the video card should.
And if the onboard video adapter is Intel as you had stated, then you do not have a non-Intel MB, and it should not require a special AGP driver.

By uninstalling the onboard video adapter, do you mean that you disabled it either in BIOS or by repositioning a MB jumper?
And was this done prior to installing the new video card?

Also, did you install the new video card's drivers, and are they compatible with Windows 2000?

My MB manual said to check that the card is seated well and that was exactly the problem. Thanks.

You're welcome.
Kudos on solving the problem, and thanks for posting back with the fix.
