I am not sure if Nortel provide this functionality. I want to announced to the agents the type of call that is arriving at their set, probably based on the CDN it arrived on.


Any help or comments.
 
Nortel does not have any equipment like this. (wish they did).

You might try the Agent Greeting Card. You can bastardize it to do something like what you want. Search the forum for AGC or Agent Greeting Card.
 
A cheap way (assuming your phoneset has a display) is to configure the phoneset to display the CDN name and then get the agents to look at the phone before they answer!

Alternatively, you could spend a lot of money and give them a CTI enabled desktop.

I know where my (Company's) money would be.
