I wanted to create an agent that would allow me to disable a rule on a scheduled basis. For example, I have a rule set up to put certain emails into a personal folder, but after work hours, I would like those emails to just remain in the inbox.

I was able to create a rule that would move the email from that folder back into the inbox, but that doesnt seem very efficient because its a constant process (and there hogs up server resources). A much simpler solution would be to create an agent that just disables the rule altogether so the emails just stay in the inbox. I wasnt able to find any predefined rule regarding this, so i thought I would ask here.

Any all all help is appreciated. thanks.

You need acces to the Notes Designer client, and a modicum of LotusScript knowledge.

With the Designer client, open your mail and create a script agent. That agent should open your mail file (easy, it is in it), get the rule you want to work on, and perform a boolean operation on the notesagent.IsEnabled property.

Then all you need is to schedule your activation agent to run every nine hours, starting at 7:30 A.M and not on weekends.

If you need help, just reply in this thread. Good luck !

Pascal.
