Agent Set cannot transfer cell phone to cell phone

Agent receives a call on their in-calls key or DN key on a 2216. Caller is calling on their cell phone and needs to be transferred to the person on-call (typically a cell phone). The agent is able to hit the transfer key, dial the cell # of the on-call person but cannot connect the two parties.

The agent then tries to conference the two parties together, however, when the agent releases all are disconnected.

What do I need to be looking for?
 
look in phones cls setting. If under cls you see fttr than try adding cls fttc. Look at other phones can they do this feature. See how they are built.
 
You need to set up trunk to trunk accessing. If your switch is connected to a DMS or another Nortel CO you can set it up for anti-tromboning.
 
Other agent sets can transfer cell phone call to another cell phone.

The only difference is the NCOS, could this affect the TRN function?
 
In this case I don't think so because it sounds like the person is able to dial the number from there phone. You could chg there ncos and see if it fixes the problem. I don't mean to harp on the issue and it's only a guess but your sure the cls prompts where exactly the same.
 
if the person who does the conferencing drops off then the call will be dropped. someone from within your PBX has to remain on the call. FYI
 
I changed the NCOS to a lower NCOS, now both the transfer and conference work.

I had them set to an International NCOS, I have asked my maintenance provider to investigate as to why and to see if it can be changed. The agents do need to dial overseas on a daily basis.
