Hello!
All of my call center phones have a fixed dn programmed on key 3. I have this dn set as the agent's personal extension in SECC 3. This seems to work out ok, seeing that the agents have their own cell in the prison...er, cube in the call center...for now.
We are liable to expand any second beyond the capacity for each agent to have their own place and will have to start sharing.
My question(s) is/are this...
If I give the agents a dn on a phantom tn, SECC will acquire it, but how will it ring in on the phone....via the queue in calls key? This is especially important to know if the users float to other cubes and login on other phones.
My agents need to dial out to call others or make outside calls. Will the phone need a fixed dn, or can a key be programmed such that they will dial out on their phantom dn?
If a button can be programmed such that the extension will follow them regardless of where they log in, what is the moniker and params for the key?
I've scoured every word of the SECC and M1 documentation that I have (which is not much) and found nothing of use. Nothing like this was implemented before our call centers merged, so previous programming is of no use.
Here is a tn listing of one of our agent phones...
