Agent not installed error

Hi All,

Running backup exec 8.6 on 2k server and I get the "Unable to initialize Remote Agent for Windows NT/2000 - performing standard backup" message when a job runs (and then fails).

But "beremote.exe" is running on the remote server and Backup Exec Remote Agent service is also started.

I did however install the 9.0 version of the agent on this server. Is that a problem?

Anyone know where I can get the 8.6 agent? Any other advice on getting backup exec to recognize the agents would be appreciated.

The 8.6 remote agent is on the 8.6 Backup Exec CD.
