If I log an agent in and forward that set to another extension calls are routed correctly and work well. To me that says this is an acceptable feature.

However if we forward calls to an external land or cell number you cannot hear the incoming callers voice. Does anyone know if there has been a fix for this problem? Its very useful for popping out of the office when ur low on agents!

Any thoughts?

Thats sound like a horrible solution for a call center enviorment, but if you have analog trunks BCM's have horrible trunk to trunk volume. Pri or T1 sounds great.

I know non standard but useful when u have limited staff. Want to home work or nip to the shop and have not gotten around to arranging voip at home!

I am sure the problem can be solved by Nortel but as there is limited demand they may not go down that route. Perhaps there will be a coincidental fix when they tweak some other function.

If anyone knows if this has been fixed I would like to know. Seems crazy that it works well in office but not on an outside call forward.

If it's an analog trunk, the trunk to trunk signal loss it very bad. It will work fine on a PRI. You could try playing with your loss settings, but I wouldn't recommend it.
