agent accelerator not present?

could someone please tell me exactly what the following error means and what i need to do about it? thanx in advance

Agent Accelerator not present - performing standard backup
Error gathering disaster recovery information from the remote machine.
Verify that the most recent version of the Agent Accelerator is installed on this machine.

That message usually means the agent is not installed or maybe the agent service isn't started. Check the machine you're getting the error for. Look for a directory called bentaa (for 8.5) or a directory called rant (for 8.6). If the directory is missing, the agent is not installed.
