We recently had to purget a bunch of future-dated transactions in the AR transaction table. This was done by setting the statement run date to Nov 1 2003 and then clearing the transactions after printing. The Aged trial balance report cannot be ran for some customers because of the error below.

-Error--------------------------------------------------------
The date you enter must be later than the last clearing date.

Press F2.

Does anyone know where the last clearing date is stored and what I can do to fix this error?

Much appreciated!

Hi,

From the error, I assume you are using Accpac DOS. The clearing date is held in the global file for the sub-ledger, for ar it is called arglob.???, where .??? is your data extention. The problem will be finding out which is the off-set for the hexidecimal file. You could try using a copy of the data and swapping out the arglob with a new one from a dummy company. You will lose other settings, such as next batch numbers etc. At least you will be able to extract the required data.
