OK,
Here is my issue and it is very frustrating. I am modifiying a report that was originally created using the deisgner in Seagate Info. Now I am using Crystal Reports 9. All I want to do is add a table and link it in the same database in Crystal Reports 9 so I can add a field to the existing report. It makes me add a new connection for the same database and it shows in the Database Expert now as 2 different databases even though they are the same. I can link the new table no problem and the report runs in the designer.
My issue comes when I go into Crystal Management Console, Objects and pull up the report. Then I go into the database tab and want to put in the password so that the user doesn't have to do this. I now see 2 data sources which are the same and when I try to put in the password for one of them and click on Update it will not stick. Then when I run the report from ePortfolio it fails with an incorrect logon information error. What am I doing wrong? This is crazy and it is such a simple change...
