After a Windows system update, all apps had to be reinstalled including Apache and even though it is using the same httpd.conf file, JavaScript is not working. My development sites that use JavaScript are missing their DHTML menus. Any ideas? Thank you.

Thank you Chris, and that's what I first checked. One thing I see is that in the mime.types file, application/javascript js is enabled as one would expect while text/javascript js isn't but neither was it enabled before the Apache re-install. In fact, all the configuration files are the exact same ones as before and it's the same version of Apache as before so it's odd that JavaScript isn't working.

Since there seemed to be nothing I could find that was loading the JavaScript support, even in the original configuration files, I just now thought to check .htaccess file and see that it does indeed contain AddType application/x-javascript .js so it should be loading. Having said that, I suspect part of the problem might be due to Internet Explorer itself as it too was reinstalled as was the entire OS so perhaps it has some setting that is disabling it. If that's the case, I'll look into it and report back so as to not waster your time with a non-Apache issue.

Sorry, the posting's subject was truncated. It should be, "After Reinstall, JavaScript Not Working
