Hi,

I hope someone can help me with this problem. My computer had been running really slowly, so I decided to re-install the whole lot.

I have everything back up running, but now when I am in my web browser (ie) and I use the scroll button on my mouse (or drag the side bar to move the page up or down) the page moves but it is moving really really jerkily? (kind of like reading pdf files on a slow computer!) It never used to do this before the re-install, even when it was running slowly.

Can anyone think up a reason why? When I get home tonight I am going to try and download firefox and see if it is a explorer thing, but otherwise I'm stuck for ideas.

Can anyone help?

Thanks
Andrew

Andrew,

The reason is because you do not have your video card drivers installed. You need to download them or intall them from your device drivers disk and that will solve the problem. Take Care

Andrew,

To add to my last post, you need to make sure you have all your drivers installed for that matter. Once you do a clean re-install like you did, Windows only puts certain drivers in for you. In order for all your hardware to work correctly you need the drivers specifically made for each device. You can see this through the choppiness of your video while scrolling up and down on your browser. Hope this helps.

look under tools->internet options->advanced tab. under the "browsing" section - is "use smooth scrolling" enabled (checked in?" -note: its the last item in the browsing section.

if its not, check it in, restart IE, and see if it helps.
