Do I need to rebuild like in Pervasive?

Also, I used to simply initilise OEHDRAUD and OELINAUD? Still doable?

THX in advance!

TO clarify - I am purging by traditional means like Inv Trx Hist by item report, not thru queries.

I'm confused, did you initialize the tables or purge them?

In either case, the answer is no, the .mdf file will shrink automatically. You need to make you periodically shrink your log files (.ldf) or they will grow forever. I do this with a database maintenance plan.
