After promoting a member server to domain controller, I can't make any changes to shares that were in the distributed file system.

If I try to stop sharing on a folder that used to have a domain root file replication on it, I get the error that I need to remove this share from the distributed file system. If I go to the distributed file system and try to display the shares, I get a RPC server unavailable for all the folders the were previously there.

I tried demoting the server back to being a member server, but the shares did not reappear in the distributed file system.

Is there anyway I can access this information directly in the active directory?
