Hi Guys,
After power outages I lose all my settings that I input into memory. Is there anything else short of a UPS for me to use to keep my settings in memory?? My outages sometimes are 5 mins and other times a few hours but either way it still loses all the saved data!

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! :)

Thanks!!

I'm guessing that you have either a Partner Plus or a Partner II. There is a 3.6v Nicad battery soldered onto the circuit board of the processor module. You need to replace that. I've had good luck taking the board down to a local electronics parts house (NOT Radio Shack), and matching up a battery for a PC motherboard. You could also try for mailorder. If you can't find the exact replacement, its OK to use any 3.6v nicad pack with a higher mA rating, it will just take longer to fully charge.

Thanks Tommy!! Yes my system is a Partner II!!

Your help was GREATLY apreciated!! :)

Take care and thank you again!!

Hi Karford,
I replace those batteries all the time with the original. Varta still makes those and they should cost around $9.00 (CDN). Carefully rock the top PCB of the main board, use a solder sucker to free the three pins and install the new one. I disconnect the battery jumper when doing this, be sure to reposition the little bar when you are done. The top board can then be aligned and pushed straight back down (on a hard surface).
The same goes for the clamshell, the little black plastic piece may pop out when you put it back together. It's only cosmetic.
