after moving WSS 3.0 to another server, can't see the sites

Hello

I've moved our WSS 3.0 (basic install on MSDE/SQL EXPRESS) from one server to another.
I've used the native WSS backup utility (within sharepoint server administration > operation) to do a full backup.
When I restore onto the new server using WSS restore utility (within sharepoint server administration > operation), it completes without errors however, when I actually go to the site and try to view all sites, there's nothing there.
Below is the result after the completion of the restore.
I've tried this a number of times with same result.
Any ideas?
