After installing SQL 2k Personal...

Hi,

I installed the SQL Server 2k personal edition in a pc on my company to make tests of replication. But after installed it, my application cannot access the SQL Server installed on the server.
My application uses ADO, and I installed the personal version in Windows 98 and ME and in both the problem occurs.
Does anybody know anything about it ?

Use the SQL Server Client Netowk Utility to create an alias, provide the IP addess and set the network library for the local and server instances of SQL Server. You should find a shortcut for the Utility in the SQL Server program group. SQL Books Online contains info about the utility. Terry L. Broadbent - DBA
