After imaging why does the workstation still try to contact the server

I have been using zenworks 7 to image a lot of pc's. but have just noticed the workstations are trying to contact the imaging server after the image has finished even weeks after they have been imaged is there a reason why and how can i stop this as it is creating a lot of network traffic
