I have three ACD queues set up (not using Symposium) with messages recorded for both business and after hours. AH plays correct message, then the system announcement "Transferring to an attendant", followed by the system announcement "Please leave a message after the tone". I have recorded messages in both the Internal and External slots in the mailboxes assigned to each queue.
Why don't they play? Is there a setting I missed? Help!
Secondly, how do I get rid of the "Transferring to an attendant" message.

What kind of voice mail box are you using? I a little bit confused about the first part of your question, but the "Transferring to Attendant" sounds like you have the supervised transfer feature turned on in your mailbox. Try changing it to an unsupervised transfer in the mailbox profile.

OK, let me see if I can clarify. I have an Option 11C on which I have set up three ACD queues. Each has business hour and after hours messages recorded. We are not using Symposium.

The problem is the playing of the mailbox prompt after hours. These mailboxes are set up for each queue.
Rather than playing the message I recorded in the voice mail box's internal and external greeting slot, the prompt that is played is in the same female voice that speaks system messages.

I want to hear the messages I recorded. How?

Are you using NCFW to forward your calls to voice mail, (& is it meridian mail) when the queue is closed. If so, MMail will give you the busy message, (ie The person at extn xxxx is on the phone blah blah), it then should play your greeting. The busy message is the personal verification, so you can try recording a few seconds of silence, the success of this varies, depending on whether you have silence compression turned on or off, (you can check in "Tools").

By the way, if you only record the external greeting, then this will be played to any call type. Saves having to maintain to greetings.

Yes, I am using NCFW to forward calls to voice mail when the queue is closed. And yes, it is Meridian Mail. I've already recorded silence into the personal verification.
That got rid of the "Mailbox nnnn" announcement. But, the messages I've recorded into the mailbox external and internal greetings don't play. Should I have the recording only in the external greeting slot?

Call flow is importtant here. You may not be going to the correct mailbox?

Caller dial npa nxx 1234 --> Switch sees 1234 ACD que NCFW to ACD Que 2222 --> ACD Que 2222 NCFW to voice mail --> Voice mail sees 1234 sends caller to mailbox 1234.

Does this help?
What is your call flow?
