Working on my first sharepoint site and Im having trouble with some links i created. The users can click on these links, some of them link to pages on other web sites, some like to pages on the same sharepoint site but when the user goes to one of the links and then hits the back button in his browser, there are no previous web pages any more. The back button turns white as if there were no previous pages and the user has to go back to and start over again.

Anybody have any suggestions about what might be going on?

thanks

Are you sure that when opening the link is is being opened in the same window and NOT a new tab?

yep, it opens in the same window no tab or new window. The back button is even still blue at this time, but as soon as you hit the back button it turns white and all the back "history" is gone and the page will not go "back."

i still havnt found any reason for it. I've created several links to different kinds of pages, but they all act the same way.
