after a fresh install, my pc is now a turtle....Slow...

Hi. I did a fresh install on my pc and now it's slow like carzy , I see this especially when I grab the scroll bar with my pointer and drag it down. for instance I grabed the scroll bar here in the forum menu looking for windows xp and the pages were soo slow to move...

I did installed the hotfix patch for amd and the driver.

opteron 165
DFI mobo
1G DDR crutial
259 seagate sata baracuda in 3 partitions
D.link router
ati x800xl
ati theater pro 550
logitech cordless mx3000 kbord and mouse.
Hp officejet 4110

I do have 2 yellow ? in my device manager. Video controller and Video controller ( vga compatible)
but I don't what these are and where to get drivers?

I spent half a day here in front of my PC trying to fix it, but I have limited knowledge with pc..

Your graphics Drivers are not installed, that is whay your gettting a laggy screen.

Locate your Driver CD or look on the makers website for the latest drivers.

ok thank you very much. I have 2 graphic cards ( I think ) I have the regular one the ATI sapphire x800xl and the ati theater pro 550

would you know what driver I need? one thing I know is I didn't get the cd rom with my pro 550 so it took me a long time to find some drivers for it.
so the 800xl or the pro550 iyo?

you saved my life. it was the main card. for some reasons that I still understand , I guess I screwed up with the cd rom driver installation...
