after a clean installation-why do I still have shortcuts from previous

I had a virus {nachi.a}
I did a clean slate and reinstalled my os{win2k server}
afterwards, I performed a search for files and folders for
KAZAA AND SEARCH RESULTES WERE 42 FLIES ;MOST OF THEM SHORTCUTS. KAZAA IS MOST PROBABLY MY SOURCE FOR THE VIRUS
WHY DOES MY COMP. STILL HAVE THESE SHORTCUTS WHICH I CAN'T
EVEN REMOVE?
