after 97 to 2k conversion; working report has no number?

I converted a working app from acc97 to acc2k. A working report is now not displaying any numbers. The data is there but if a date or any numeric value is suppose to be displayed, it is blank.

Report example;

In Acc97:
Truck Date Amount
CH-01 12-10-04 $100.99

In Acc2K:

Truck Date Amount
CH- - - $ .

To make things more complicated, this problem does not exist on 8 of the 10 workstations that use this app. The two workstations that have this problem send the report to two (2) different printers.

Workstations run Win2k and Off2k with Acc2k apps only.

This is fustrating. I've uninstalled and reinstalled x number of times on these two PC's. Problem is specific to those two PC's. Where do I look? Have check regional settings...no differences detected. HELP!!!!

The fix is quite simple but still strange ...

For some reason the registry key 1025 is set to ON (concerning arabic
language) and the arabic language is not taken care of ...

You either turn it OFF :
Key : HKEY_USERS\<<user
identity>>\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\LanguageRessources\1025
(As to be done for every user on the machine)

or install the arabic language (good for everyone):
Control Panel
Regional settings
General tab
Check the arabic language
Accept and reboot
