Good Morning 605,

networker solaris amd 7.6.3.2.build.860

When the AFTD disk is full it is not staging save sets to tape.

Tried forcing a staging run using the GUI.

configuration/staging/disktotape/operations

then start now using the following options

stage all savesets
check file system
recover space

didnot seem to do anything.

Than did manual commands

nsrstage -m -V diskcopy.002

came back with no complete save sets to stage

nsrstage -C -V diskcopy.002

if you do df -k you get /diskbackup 100%

in the GUI . media /diskvolumes diskcopy.002 showed no savesets

diskcopy.002.RO shows all the savesets

Can you please assist

An AFTD is never assigned the status 'full' although you can of course fill it. That's why NW does not ask for another media.

You have no chance - because NW treats each AFTD media as READ-OR-WRITE media you must stop all processes and free up some space (delete/migrate ss) before you can run new backups to the same volume. That's why there are 2 'linke' volumes for each device.

see error message below. basically savesets are not being moved from disk to tape with the result that the ADFS filesystem has become full

aftd file system is /diskbackup and have mailed you NMC messages for BACK2

Wednesday 11:28:27 /diskbackup/_AF_readonly media /diskbackup/_AF_readon ly No space was recovered from device /diskbackup/_AF_readonly.

So what? - Did you stop the backup process first before youtry to stage?

we have ran the check nsrim -X

after that shall we close the running backup and use nsrstage to stage the data toa tape

if so then please tell me the command

I am pretty sure that just nsrim would not help.

As I do not know how YOUR system started the backup, it is hard to advise you.
However, worst case 'jobkill' (interactive mode) should do the job.

i just want to confirm the command that will stage the save sets from the AFTD to a tape volume
