AE6.5 crash on render

Hi,
I have just installed AE6.5pro on a new computer AMD dual core 2gig ram.
Whenever I finish a project and begin to render out to AVI the program crashes. I cant seem to work out why.
I have the program working on 2 other machines with no problem ..... any ideas???

Hey guys I am unable to use After Effects as I cannot render any files!!! Please help.
I have tried deleting Quicktime to no avail. I dont know what video codecs are present that might be causing problems, and I dont know how to delete them anyway.
