adware = spyware = bad?

They are indeed two different things. adware could be considered "legitimate" as the user supposedly asked for the popups and spyware tracks your movements on the internet, sometimes serving ads as well, sometimes not. However, the line seems to be greying as spyware and adware becoming rolled in to one by the "providers."
