I have installed and then deleted several adware programs without removing the quarentined items. Can these quarentined files be malicious to my computer?

I wouldn't think so, but unless it's a recent quarantine and you need to keep the file to be sure it's not essential for some application, why keep them?
To me that's rather like keeping a rattlesnake in a cage in the living room and hoping the dog doesn't tip the cage over.
